Heya everyone! Thanks to everyone who's downloaded and played the demo so far; you've all been super encouraging, and it's motivated me to work even harder. 

If you follow me on twitter, you've probably already seen these, but I figured I would aggregate them here, both for convenience and for posterity:

"Official" Themed Character Playlists for The Skin You're In!

"Why," you may wonder. Well, wonder no longer- it's because I love music and making themed playlists!

So, here they are, each with a short note on the theming and song choices.

Coppelia

Coppelia's is the only one of the four playlists I made here where the order matters, but can be enjoyed out of order. Unlike the other three, hers isn't based on her own musical tastes, but follows the mood of Coppelia's narrative as the story progresses. (Almost) every song in here is from a ballet; the other two songs are more like. thematic. and one's a pun, but the song is awesome.

The Beloved

The Beloved's playlist is genuinely all music I think she listens to all the time. As the title implies, these ones are the ones she's been listening to a lot prior to the start of the game narrative. (Make of that what you will!)

The Puppeteer

I decided, pretty early, and out of nowhere, that one of the Puppeteer's character traits is "very good with technology, but an old soul at heart," so they love folk music and classic rock, and gets misty-eyed listening to at least one of these songs. The playlist is titled "The Puppeteer's Workshop," because The Puppeteer has a shitty portable radio they keep with them and listen to the oldies stations while they're fixing up the puppets.  Depending on your musical tastes, this character detail that is barely mentioned in canon  might either make them completely insufferable to you, or be incredibly endearing.

Doctor Janice

Now you know DJ is camp, congrats.
The title is cringe, sure, but it's entirely IC that he would have these playing over....whatever...when he's working.
He has very strong opinions on which cast recordings for musicals are the better ones.

look. if you didn't know Doctor Janice was entirely self-indulgent and silly before... I hope it's very obvious now.

Anyway, I've been listening to these while I'm working, and they're all super fun.
I hope you guys enjoy them even half as much as I enjoyed making them <3
